Navratri is a Hindu festival celebrated over 9 days with great reverence and exuberance all over India and abroad.
The festival signifies four important parts to divinity and discipline for success through worship.
Let's delve deeper into these important aspects for our own victories and financial success in our lives.
Navratri is dedicated to the worship of the powerful trinity of Goddess Maha Kali, Maha Lakshmi and Maha Saraswati. The interplay of these goddesses and their various avatars and roles in the creation and preservation of the universe and its abundant wealth is celebrated and revered over 9 days, culminating in the celebration of victory over all obstacles and evil.
‘Unity with Balance’ in this trinity is the core message. Just as the trinity of Brahma, Vishnu, and Maheshwara culminates in a supreme power, the same principle is used for the feminine trinity power. All these energies and principles ultimately merge into one to create a greater power for victory and success, stressing the idea of divine unity, dynamic balance and the interconnectedness of all principles and beings in the universe. It emphasises the importance that these goddesses represent different facets of the same divine energy, each one is equally important to ultimately bring about dynamic balance to overcome obstacles for victory and success.
These three goddesses represent different aspects of the divine feminine energy which are crucial to create, protect, enrich and nurture our wealth.
Maha Kali is associated with the initial creation of the universe. It is with a ‘big bang’ that the universe came into existence.
Maha Kali also represents the fierce and destructive aspect of the goddess. She is the ultimate power that initiates the creation of the universe by destroying the old one (obsolete) to make way for the new.
We all need to remove our past habits related to our finances especially of avoiding financial planning for our future. And this is the first step towards financial success. Removing obstacles and resistance is so important. Other old habits such as the need to be drawn to ‘stock market tips to make quick and easy money or making haphazard investments without a plan are habits that surely need to be destroyed for new ways for success with money.
During Navaratri, the first three days are dedicated to Maha Kali. Devotees seek her blessings for courage and strength to break away from resistance and focus on the new. Her energy is believed to create, purify and prepare all of us for the next phases of life.
We all pray to her for sustained wealth and abundance. Maha Lakshmi embodies the nurturing and preserving aspect of the goddess. She is responsible for maintaining and preserving the created universe and all its wealth.
All of us pray and wish for our money to grow so we can achieve our financial goals. Sustenance of our jobs to earn, sustenance of our wealth to grow – these are keys to our happiness and to make our dreams come true.
During Navaratri, the next three days are dedicated to Maha Lakshmi. Devotees worship her for sustained material and spiritual abundance, seeking her blessings for wealth and success.
Knowledge is power. Maha Saraswati is associated with knowledge, purity, wisdom, and creative aspect. She provides us with the clarity, intellect and wisdom necessary for the sustenance of the world.
We can surely make plans and even make some money. But, if we don’t have the right knowledge and wisdom to sustain our wealth, make the right financial plans, define our goals and get the right advisors, we can surely lose it all.
The final three days of Navaratri are dedicated to Maha Saraswati. Devotees seek her blessings for education, correct right knowledge, artistic talents, and spiritual wisdom. It is a time for learning, proper understanding, clarity and intellectual growth.
